Referrals for gifted services may be made by any person who has knowledge of the student’s abilities: teachers, counselors, administrators, parents, guardians, peers, or the student. Referrals my occur at any time. Referrals my be made to (1) the Gifted Referral Screening Team at the local school or (2) the Central Office. Students must meet eligibility criteria as established by the State Department of Education to qualify for gifted services.
